Working Principle of Chainsaw

Its working principle is to carry out the cutting action by lateral movement of the staggered L-shaped blades on the saw chain. Chainsaws are generally divided into motorized chain saws, non-motorized chain saws, and so on.

Classification

According to different power sources, chainsaws are divided into gasoline saws, electric saws, pneumatic saws, and hydraulic saws.

Gasoline saw: strong mobility, suitable for mobile work in the field. However, it is noisy, troublesome in maintenance, and generates more heat.

Electric chain saw: stable power, fast start, heavier than other saws. But if the line is too long, it will be inconvenient to move.

Pneumatic chain saw: safe and pollution-free, low noise, lightweight. However, an air compressor must be attached, which increases the floor area and is restricted by conditions.

Hydraulic chain saw: enough power, but slow start, stable work. The hydraulic pump station has a smaller volume and higher cost than that of the air compressor.

Precautions

1.Check the tension of the saw chain frequently, turn off the engine and wear protective gloves when checking and adjusting. The proper tension is when the chain is hung on the lower part of the guide plate, the chain can be pulled by hand.

2. There must always be a little oil on the chain. The oil level of saw chain lubrication and lubricating oil tank must be checked before each operation. The chain must not work without lubrication. If it works with a dry chain, the cutting device will be damaged.

3. Never use old engine oil. Old engine oil cannot meet the lubrication requirements and is not suitable for chain lubrication.

4. If the oil level in the oil tank does not decrease, there may be a problem with the lubrication delivery. Check chain lubrication and oil circuit. Passing through the contaminated filter screen can also lead to a poor supply of lubricating oil. The lubricating oil filter in the pipeline connecting the oil tank and the pump should be cleaned or replaced.

5. After replacing and installing a new chain, the saw chain needs 2 to 3 minutes of running in time. Check the chain tension after running in and readjust if necessary. New chains require more frequent tensioning than chains that have been used for a while. In the cold state, the saw chain must stick to the lower part of the guide plate, but the saw chain can be moved on the upper guide plate by hand. If necessary, tighten the chain again. When the operating temperature is reached, the saw chain swells and sags slightly, and the transmission link at the lower part of the guide plate cannot escape from the chain groove, otherwise, the chain will jump and the chain needs to be re-tensioned.

6. The chain must be relaxed after work. The chain will shrink as it cools, and a chain that is not loose will damage the crankshaft and bearings. If the chain is tensioned in the working state, the chain will shrink when it cools. If the chain is too tight, the crankshaft and bearing will be damaged.

Safe Operation Regulations

1.Wear work clothes and corresponding labor protection products as required, such as helmets, protective glasses, gloves, work shoes, etc., and bright colored vest.

2.The engine should be Turned off during the transportation of the machine.

3.The engine must be shut down before refueling. When there is no fuel in the engine, stop the engine for 15 minutes and refuel after the engine cools down.

4. Check the operation safety condition before starting.

5. When starting, keep a distance of more than three meters from the refueling site. Do not use in closed rooms.

6. Do not smoke while using the machine or near the machine to prevent fire.

7. When working, be sure to hold the machine firmly with both hands, stand firmly, and watch out for the danger of slipping.
