Air compressor is a kind of equipment used to compress the gas.Most air compressors are of the reciprocating piston type, with rotating blades or rotating screws. Its system composition mainly includes oil circulation system, gas circulation system, water circulation system, power distribution system, screen protection system, DC power supply system, and DTC control system.

Features of Air Compressor

The compressor is directly driven by the electric motor, which causes the crankshaft to rotate, and drives the connecting rod to make the piston move back and forth, causing the change of cylinder volume. Due to the change of the pressure in the cylinder, the air enters the cylinder through the air filter through the intake valve. In the compression stroke, due to the reduction of the cylinder volume, the compressed air passes through the exhaust valve and enters the air storage tank through the exhaust pipe and the one-way valve. When the exhaust pressure reaches the rated pressure of 0.7MPa, it is automatically stopped by the pressure switch. When the pressure of the air storage tank drops to 0.5-0.6mpa, the pressure switch is automatically connected and activated. The air compressor is to provide air source power, is the core equipment of the pneumatic system, and the main body of the electromechanical bleed air source device. It is the original mechanical energy into a gas pressure energy device, which is the compressed air pressure generation device.

Precautions of Air Compressor

1.The air compressor should be parked in a place far away from steam, gas, and dust. The intake pipe should be equipped with a filter device. After the air compressor is in place, it should be symmetrically wedged with a cushion block.

2.Operators should be specially trained and fully understand the structure, performance, and function of air compressor and auxiliary equipment, and be familiar with operation and maintenance procedures.

3.Before starting the air compressor, check and prepare according to the regulations, and pay attention to open all valves of the air storage tank. After starting the diesel engine, it must be operated at low speed, medium speed, and rated speed. Pay attention to whether the readings of the meters are normal before running with a load. The air compressor should be started with increasing load gradually, and it can be operated at full load only after all parts are normal.

4.During the operation of the air compressor, pay attention to the meter reading and listen to the sound of various parts. If any abnormality is found, stop the machine immediately for an inspection. The maximum air pressure in the air storage tank shall not exceed the pressure specified on the nameplate. Open the condensate oil and water discharge valve of the intercooler and the air storage tank 1-2 times every 2-4 hours. Do a good job of cleaning the machine. It is forbidden to wash the air compressor with cold water after a long-term operation.

5.When the air compressor is stopped, the exhaust valve of the air storage tank should be opened gradually, the pressure should be reduced slowly, and the speed of the diesel engine should be reduced accordingly so that the air compressor can run for 5-10 seconds at low speed without load. After the air compressor stops, the diesel engine continues to run at a low speed for 5 seconds before stopping. If the temperature is lower than 5 ℃ in winter, the cooling water without antifreeze should be drained after shutdown.

6.When cleaning the radiating fins, do not use combustion methods to remove oil from the pipeline. Maintenance work such as cleaning and tightening must be performed after the shutdown.

2.Choose the size of clearance volume correctly.

3.Adopt an advanced cooling system.

4.Maintain the tightness of the piston ring.

5.Reduce the resistance during gas inhalation.

6.Keep the tightness of the air valve and stuffing box.

7.Keep the sensitivity of the suction valve and exhaust valve.

8.Dryer and colder gas should be inhaled.

9.Properly increase the speed of the air compressor.

10.Maintain the tightness of the output pipeline, air valve, air storage tank, and cooler.
