Classification of Wet Magnetic Separator
According to the different structures of the tank, the wet magnetic separator is divided into three types: forward flow type, reverse flow type, and semi reverses flow type. The particle sizes of three different types of magnetic separators are as follows: downstream tank ≤ 6 mm, countercurrent tank ≤ 1.5 mm, and semi countercurrent tank ≤ 0.5 mm.
The downstream magnetic separator has a large processing capacity which is suitable for the rough selection and selection of relatively coarse-grained and strongly magnetic materials, and it can also work in series. When the feed volume of the downstream magnetic separator is large, the magnetic particles are easy to lose in the tailings. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the operation management and control the lower slurry level.
Countercurrent magnetic separator is suitable for roughing and scavenging of fine-grained and strong magnetic minerals with high recovery but low concentrate grade. Because the coarse-grained materials are easy to deposit and block the separation space, the counter current magnetic separator is not suitable for processing coarse-grained materials.
Semi countercurrent magnetic separators can obtain high-quality iron concentrate with good recovery, so a semi countercurrent magnetic separator is widely used in production practice. It is suitable for the rough selection and beneficiation of ore particles below 0.5mm and multiple units can be connected in series and parallel to realize multiple sweeping and selection.
Operation of Wet Magnetic Separator
1.Firstly, clean up the debris during transportation and loading and unloading, clean up the magnetic separator cylinder, and turn the magnetic separator by hand without collision or noise, and tighten the loose bolts.
2.When filling lubricating oil into the reducer, the oil window indication shall prevail. For magnetic separators that have been out of the factory for a long time or used in environments outside the ambient temperature of -5 to 35 degrees Celsius, the lubricant should be filled and replaced according to the local environment.
3.Power supply, empty machine running more than 3 hours, ensure no abnormal before putting into a trial run.
4.Adjust the screw of the magnetic system. Generally, the magnetic line of force can be discharged smoothly when the stainless steel plate is exposed for 15-20 mm.
5.When the machine is shut down, the feeding should be stopped first, and the machine can be shut down only after the material is emptied. When starting up, start the machine first and feed water before feeding.
6. The machine should be regularly maintained, lubricated, and tightened screws.
