Main Structure of Rod Mill

The rod mill is mainly composed of motor, main reducer, transmission part, cylinder part, main bearing, slow transmission part, feeding part, discharging part, annular seal, thin oil lubrication station, spray lubrication of large and small gears, foundation part, etc. The main reducer of the rod mill has a parallel shaft and hard tooth surface.

Working Principle of Rod Mill

When the rod mill working, the materials are fed into the hollow cylinder for grinding through the hollow shaft. There are different diameters of grinding media installed in the cylinder. Rotation of the horizontal cylinder generates centrifugal forces that elevate the long steel rods to a certain height where they fall back and grind the materials.
