1.The volume of the tailings pond should be compatible with the scale and service life of the mineral processing plantsfactory. The topography of the reservoir site should be a low concave valley or depression to minimize the earth and stone works. The location of the tailings pond should be close to the concentrator as far as possible, and the conditions of gravity flow or semi gravity flow of tailings should be considered as far as possible, so as to save the transportation cost of tailings.

2.The concentrator site of the mineral processing plantsshould be close to the water source as far as possible to reduce the length of the water transmission pipeline and energy consumption. When determining the water source, special attention should be paid not to compete with agriculture for water.

3.The concentrator for mineral processing plantsshould have reliable power supply. If it is possible to use the power grid for power supply, it should be used as far as possible, and the length of the transmission line should be shortened as far as possible.

4.The site of the concentrator should have good engineering geological conditions. Buildings should avoid being built on faults, landslides and below the flood level and avoid unfavorable sections such as karst caves, silt, humus soil, caves, ancient wells, or cultural relics protection areas. The bearing capacity of soil in the plant area is generally required to be greater than 100kN / m2, and the soil of the crushing plant, main workshop, ore bin, and other buildings shall not be less than 200kn / m2.

5.The mineral processing plant site should be located in the downwind direction of the town or residential area as far as possible, so as to minimize the environmental pollution caused by dust, smoke and other emissions.
