The mined ore material is initially crushed by a jaw crusher. After crushing to the reasonable fineness, the ore is evenly fed to the ball mill through the elevator for grinding by the ball mill. The ore fines ground by the ball mill enters the next process: classification. With the help of the principle that the solid particles have different specific gravity and different precipitation speeds in the liquid, the spiral classifier classifies the ore mixture. When the classified mineral mixture passes through the magnetic separator, due to the different specific magnetic susceptibility of various minerals, the magnetic materials in the mixture are separated by magnetic and mechanical force, and the selected minerals are separated by the stirring drum. Because it contains a large amount of water, it must be initially concentrated by a thickener and then dried by the dryer, so as to obtain the dry minerals.

1.Generally, the site of mineral processing equipment & systems factory should be close to the mine. For the processing plant with rich ore processing or high concentrate yield, when the user is close to the mine or is limited by water, electricity, fuel supply, etc., it can also be close to the user or built in the user's factory area.For some precious mineral processing equipment, in order to avoid the loss of concentrate in transportation or the concentrate must be dry and the user has waste heat to use, it can be considered to build a mineral processing equipment & systems close to the user (also can build a factory in a mine, and set up a dehydration workshop in the user, and the concentrate slurry is pumped to the dewatering workshop). When the mine resources are scattered and the factory needs to be built in a centralized way, it is advisable to select a reasonable site between the mine and the user, so as to minimize the comprehensive freight of raw ore and the concentrate.

2.The topography of the plant site should meet the needs of the mineral processing equipment & systems. In addition to the site area requirements, the terrain conditions of the concentrator should meet the requirements of pulp gravity flow or semi gravity flow. Generally, the most suitable natural terrain slope for the crushing plant is about 25°, and the main plant is about 15°. If there is no ideal terrain conditions or flat land construction, drainage requirements of the plant area should be considered, and the natural terrain gradient of the plant site should be 4% - 5%.

3. The principle of land conservation must be implemented. On the premise of meeting production needs, the plant site should occupy as little land as possible, especially less or no farmland. For tailings ponds with a large area, the conditions of reclamation and return to land should be considered.
