Mine and mineral processing plant is the key operation (or main operation) in the beneficiation process. According to the different properties of minerals, it adopts different mineral processing methods, such as flotation separation, gravity separation or magnetic separation, etc.
Preparation Before Mine and Mineral Processing
The preparation operation includes crushing, screening, grinding, and grading. The main purpose is to separate useful minerals from gangue minerals, useful minerals, and useful minerals from each other, so as to achieve monomer separation and prepare for separation operation. Sometimes the preparation is to divide the material into several suitable particle size grades to prepare for the separation operation.In grinding operation, grading operation is usually used to coordinate with it, so that the qualified materials can be separated in time, which can not only avoid over-grinding of products but also improve grinding efficiency. The classification equipment used in the grinding operation of mine and mineral processing plants includes mechanical classifier and hydrocyclone. Spiral classifier is the most widely used mechanical classifier in the concentrator. In tungsten and tin gravity concentration plants, in order to reduce the over-grinding during the process, the screen and rod mill are often used to form a closed circuit. The coordinated application of fine screens and grinding operations has also recently received sufficient attention.
