In July 2019, we received an email from a Sudanese customer Muhanned Albashir. During the communication with the Nile salesperson, the customer stated that he needs a suitable and low-cost raymond mill machine to extract and smelt gold from the grinding hematite with maximum input of 40 mm(The gold grade of raw ore was 0.1-0.5g/t), and smallest processing capacity of 10t/h. The equipment operates once a week, and each operation does not exceed 24 hours. At the same time, he hopes to add some auxiliary equipment to reduce environmental pollution.
After detailed analysis, the Nile Machinery’s technical personnel considered that Raymond mill can be produced intermittently and has a low cost in the early stage, which could meet the customer requirement, coupled with the high dust removal efficiency of the bag type dust collector, so designed the process: hematite in the silo is sent to 1.5x15mm dryer (10-15t / h) by 500x2000mm belt conveyor. The hot air generated by the gas generator enters the dryer through the combustion chamber, and the dust generated in the dryer is pumped away by the bag type dust collector to purify and meet the emission standard. The dried materials are fed into the second silo by the bucket elevator, then into the 10t / h raymond mill, and then ground into 200 mesh finished products. The finished product directly enters the leaching pool(pool volume 47-67m³) to start the gold leaching reaction by adding water and 0.05-0.1% sodium cyanide solution. After the reaction, the precipitate containing gold is discharged from the bottom of the leaching pool and directly enters the smelting step.
In a short period of one month, the raymond mill has been installed, and the production line runs smoothly, which has brought good economic benefits to the customer.
