Introduction to the working principle of belt conveyor

Belt conveyors are mainly used for conveying loose materials or finished items. They are suitable for mining, metallurgy, coal, transportation, electric power, building materials, chemical, light industry, food, and machinery industries. The conveying bulk density is 500~2500kg/ For various bulk materials of m3, the application environment of the belt conveyor is temperature -20℃~40℃, relative humidity lower than 80%, and altitude lower than 1 km.

The working principle of belt conveyor

The belt conveyor uses the conveyor belt as the traction and load-bearing component and is a continuous conveying device that conveys the material through the movement of the conveyer belt that carries the material. The conveyor belt is wound around the drive roller and the tension roller to form an endless endless belt. The upper and lower conveyor belts are supported by idler rollers to limit the flexure and sag of the conveyor belt. The tension device provides the required tension for the normal operation of the conveyor belt. When working, the driving device drives the transmission roller and drives the conveyor belt to run through the friction between the transmission roller and the conveyor belt. The material is loaded on the conveyor belt and moves together with the conveyor belt.

belt conveyor

The belt conveyor is mainly composed of a frame, a conveyor belt, a belt roller, a tensioning device, a driving device, and a transmission device.

Advantages of belt conveyor

1. Large conveying capacity and high production efficiency

2. Simple structure and convenient maintenance

3. Standardized parts, easy to assemble and adjust

4. Uniform supply and stable running speed

5. Flexible use, running speed can be adjusted at any time
