Structure of Disc Vacuum Filter
The disc vacuum filter is mainly composed of a tank, the main shaft, a filter disc, a distribution valve, a stripping device, a flushing device, a net washing device, a transmission device, and a discharging device. Disc vacuum filter uses vacuum as the power of filtration to recover fibers and fillers.
Working Principle of Disc Vacuum Filter
The disc vacuum filter is composed of filtering units in parallel. The filter unit is mainly composed of a group of ring-shaped reinforced plastic filter discs with grooves or ribs. Sewage enters from the outside during filtration, and the rim formed by the edge of the groove on the adjacent filter disc intercepts the solids in the water. During backwashing, the water flows from the inside of the annular filter disc to the outside, washing down the dirt intercepted on the filter disc and discharging through the sewage outlet. Advantages and Disadvantages of Disc Vacuum Filter
Advantages:
(1) The average filtration speed is 2 ~ 3 times of that of bag filter.
(2) The quality of filtered juice is higher than that of bag filters.
(3) Only open and close the valve to clean the filter in each filtration cycle. The labor intensity of workers is low and the operating conditions are good.
(4) Automatic control can be realized.
(5) The amount of washing water is small and the washing water can be directly returned to the pre-ash with the sugar loss is less than that of the bag filter.
(6) The disc vacuum filter is closed filtration operation, no fog and steam, and less heat loss.
(7) Save cotton filter cloth.
Disadvantages:
(1) The disc vacuum filter structure is more complicated than the bag filter. Equipment manufacturing costs are high.
(2) There are many auxiliary equipments. Need to add a mixing bucket and syrup pump.
