This Spiral Classifier is one of the equipment for beneficiation and a device for mechanical classification by the principle that the specific gravity of the solid particles is different. The powder level which can be ground in the ball mill can be filtered, and then the coarse material is screwed into the ball mill feeding port by the spiral rotary vane. The spiral classifier mainly has four types: sorghum single helix, double helix, sunken single helix, and the double helix. The spiral classifier is mainly composed of a transmission device, a spiral body, a trough body, a lifting mechanism, a lower bearing, and a discharge valve. In addition, our spiral classifier can be an ideal facility widely used in the concentrating plant to form a closed-loop recirculating ore with the ball mill to classify the ore and fine mud in the gravity concentrating plant.

Working Principle of Spiral Classifier

The specific gravity of solids differs due to their different sizes, so do their sedimentation rates. So the light and fine particles float above the surface and overflow from the edge into the next working procedure of ore dressing. Then the heavy and thick particles sink into the bottom of the water tank and become returning sand which is transported by the spirals to the ore discharge port for discharging. The body seat of the spiral classifier is made from the channel steel while the body is welded by a steel plate. The water inlet head and the shaft head of the spiral shaft are covered by the raw iron, which is wear-resisting and durable. And the lifting device of the spiral classifiercan be controlled both electronically and manually.
